Abstract

PURPOSE: To recycle the secondary treated water of waste water as water for reuse, etc. by blowing air into water passed through processes of flocculation settling, oxidation and other treatment to remove foams and adding an oxidizing agent in the above-mentioned oxidizing process so that the residual oxidizing agent in treated water becomes a predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: Water is obtd. by passing through a flocculation settling process adding Al salt and a polymer flocculant, a filtering process using an ultrafilter membrane, an oxidizing process adding sodium hypochlorite and other treating process. For example, when living sewage contg. detergent constituents such as sodium alkylbenzenesulfonate is purified, the amount of the oxidizing agent added in the oxidizing process is adjusted so that the residual oxidizing agent in the resulting treated water becomes ≤0.5ppm as free chlorine, and 4W6 times as much air as water passed through the processes is blown into the water to remove bubbles of the surfactant, etc. The resulting treated water does not foam and emits no effensive odor, so it is recycled as water for reuse and water for miscellaneous uses.
