Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a thermal head capable of providing a distinct patern with a uniform height dot by a method wherein a resistance paste and an organic film are provided on a base with a special constitution and are calcined to form a resistant body by removing the organic component, thereafter, the second resistant body is formed by laminating thereon in the same manner.
CONSTITUTION: A thick film of dielectric paste is printed on a ceramic base 1 by screen printing and is calcined to form an electrode lead 2 first. Subsequently, the first organic film 5 is formed by adhering thereon, then, the first thick film of a resistant paste 6 is printed to fill a predetermined resistant area 4. Successively, the film 5 and an organic component in the paste 6 are burnt by calcining preliminary to form the first resistant layer 7 by successive regular calcining. Next, the second resistant layer 11 is formed on the first layer 7 in the same manner to obtain the objective head.
EFFECT: There is no recessed or projected portion on a recording surface, therefore, uniformities in a dot density and a size are excellent and the most proper thermal responsive chracteristic may be obtained.
USE: A recording head for a facsimile printer or the like.
