CONSTITUTION:When a signal current flows to the winding 14 of the auxiliary magnetic pole 14, the main magnetic pole 13 is magnetized, and since the magnetizing layer of the magnetic tape 3 can sufficiently be magnetized vertically to the inner part with the strong magnetic field, the very narrow area can accurately be magnetized and the information can vertically be recorded. Thus, the recording for one track's share is ended and the tracking signal is output, then the pulse motor 18 of the tracking unit 16 is operated for a given time and only magnetic pole 13 is moved by required track pitch broadwise the magnetic tape 3, and after that, the magnetic tape 3 is run toward reverse direction, allowing to enable the vertical recording of information.
