Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the flow of a molten resin during the molding process of a container, and increase the mechanical strength of the container by providing both a part of the bottom wall of the container serving as a gate in the molding process and a part in the vicinity of the gate with a thick wall, and providing the other part of the bottom wall of the container with a thin wall. CONSTITUTION:A thin molded container A made of a synthetic resin such as PP consists of thickly walled part 1a, having a thickness of not less than 2.5mm. and including both a part which serves as a gate in molding the container A and a part in the vicinity of the gate, and an extremly thinly walled part having a thickness of less than 2.5mm.. Since the molten resin evenly flows from the gate into the entire surface of a mold, a thin container having a thickness of not more than 2.4mm. can be efficiently molded. Besides, a good thin container can be obtained since its mechanical strength is increased by the thickly walled part 1a.
