Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to visually confirm the pulse spacing of the pulse being measured, at will, by properly connecting a pulse processing circuit to a period detector through a switch or the like, and extending the display time. CONSTITUTION:With a switch 22 kept ON, the output of a pulse processing circuit 21 becomes L, while the output of an NOT circuit 16 becomes H, and the pulse to be measured is inputted to the reset input terminal R of a counting circuit 18 through a differentiating circuit 13 and an AND circuit 15. On the other hand, the reference pulse from a reference pulse generating circuit 11 is applied to an input terminal C through an AND circuit 14 in order to detect the pulse spacing of the pulse being measured. When the switch 22 is turned OFF, a D type FF21a is set by the differentiated output b, and the output of the processing circuit 21 is H until the output of the CR time-constant circuits 21b, 21c and 21d becomes lower than the threshold voltage. Thereby, it is possible to obtain an output of time width sufficient to drive the display part. In addition, it becomes unnecessary to stop the detecting function when display is being performed.
