Abstract

PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing a water-soluble or water-dispersible resin, a lead rust preventing pigment and a specific polyhydroxybenzene as essential components, and havng improved stainproofing of the anode and stability of the bath. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing (A) 100pts.wt. water-soluble or water- dispersible resin component prepared by neutralizing an epoxy resin, etc. having introduced amino groups with an acid, e.g. hydrochloric acid, (B) 1-100pts.wt. lead rust preventing pigment, e.g. lead oxide, and (C) 0.01-5pts.wt. compound expressed by the formula (R is H, hydroxyl group or 1-10C organic residue). Hydroquinone, catechol, resorcinol, methylhydroquinone and/or tertiary butylcatechol may be preferred as the component (C).
