Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable optical fiber connector with high precision by using a sleeve providing an annular groove having a ball and an elastic member on the outer periphery. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 14 has a central hole 14a for mounting a cylinder tube including an optical fiber, and on the outer periphery an engaging groove 14b for engaging with an elastic member 16 is provided and a hole with step reaching 14a is established. In the hole 14c, a ball 15 is contained and the ball 15 is engaged with 16. The sleeve 14 is fixed to the central part of an adapter 12 located to the right and the left connected with a screw 17. When connected, inserting a plug into 12 causes that the cylinder tube containing the optical fiber is forced up and is pressed to be pressed to one side of 14a.
