Abstract
PURPOSE:To make distance measurement possible even if the intensity distributions of a transmitted laser beam are nonuniform by deflecting the transmitted laser light. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam from a laser oscillator 1 is deflected in the beam diameter direction by a light deflector 12 which is controlled when there is no target in the received singal by way of a video amplifier 9, and is transmitted from a telescope 2. Hence, the intensity distributions of the transmitted laser beam A are nonuniform and the target unsearchable range C is detected by the deflected beam D. As a result, the distance of the target is measured even if the intensity distributions of the laser beam are nonuniform.
