Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce occurrence of both the signal distortion and the noise, by providing the light source having the laser diode LD which oscillates at a time and in the three wavelengths or more plus the optical fiber each. CONSTITUTION:The photosignal sent from LD100 which functions as the light source of light emitting part 10 is led into transmitting optical fiber 30 via optical connector A20. Fiber 30 is connected to another fiber 30 by optical connector 40 to transmit the photosignal and the photosignal is led to light receiving part 50 via optical connector 20. The LD which oscillates at one time and in plural numbers of wavelengths is used for the light source of part 10. As a result, the coherent length of the laser beam is decreased, and the contrast ratio of the speckle pattern is reduced suddenly as the optical fiber length increases. At the same time, the feedback optical amount from the specified reflecting point to each oscillation wave- length is reduced since the general optical amount is scattered to each oscillation wavelength, thus reducing the perturbation of the laser oscillation. Accordingly, both the signal distortion and the noise can be reduced.
