Abstract
PURPOSE:To heat and control a steel ingot to desired temp. with a minimum amount of fuel by determining the conditions under which the amount of fuel charging is made minimum from the temps. of the steel ingot at the charging and extracting of the steel ingot, furnace temps., and the amount of fuel charging. CONSTITUTION:The residence time in a soaking pit of a steel ingot assigned by blooming schedules is defined as T, and is divided to K pieces by a microtime DELTAt. From the time k.DELTAt up to (k+1).DELTAt is defined as discrete time (k). The surface temp. of the steel ingot at the discrete time (k) is defined as theta2(k), the intermediate part temp. as theta2(k), the centra part temp. as theta3(k), the furnace temp. as theta4(k), and the amount of fuel/the capacity of burner as U(k). The surface temp. of the steel ingot at the intended extraction time K is defined as theta1(K), the intermediate temp. theta2(K), and the central part temp. theta3(K), and operations are made by prescribed equations from these numerical values, whereby the minimum amount of fuel is calculated.
