Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the variation range of the oscillation frequency for the voltage control oscillator and thus reduce the effect of temperature change, by constituting the local oscillation circuit with the frequency synthesizer and at the same time sharing the reference oscillator of the synthesizer and the voltage control oscillator of PLL. CONSTITUTION:The local oscillation circuit consists of frequency synthesizer 40, and an integer multiplication is given to the reference oscillation frequency of synthesizer 40 to IF. At the same time, both the reference oscillator of synthesizer 40 and voltage control oscillator 71 of PLL70 are shared each other in order to form a closed loop of oscillator 71 - synthesizer 40 - mixer 30 - IF amplifier 50 - phase comparator 73 - LPF75 - oscillator 71. As a result, the correction is secured in case the oscillation frequency of oscillator 71 has some shift to the central frequency. And PLL70 is locked when the oscillation frequency of oscillator 71 becomes equal to the central frequency along with the normal IF secured. In this way, the variation range can be increased for the oscillation frequency of oscillator 71, accordingly reducing the effect of the temperature change.
