Abstract
PURPOSE: To largely reduce the amount of fuel consumption by a method in which a heat medium is heated by waste hot water from a bathtub and then water from a water supply source is heated by the heat medium, and a closed loop is formed of an enclosed heat storage tank and a solar energy collector.
CONSTITUTION: Service water is supplied through a pipeline 2 to a chamber 25 of an enclosed heat storage tank 6, and a heat medium heated by a solar energy collector 10 is circulated through a pipeline 11 to the other chamber 24 partitioned by a partition wall 21 of the enclosed heat storage tank 6. Both chambers 24 and 25 are connected with each other by a connection pipe 26, hot water in the chamber 24 is directed to an electric hot water supplier (or boiler) 15 through a pipeline 14 and further heated there, and then the hot water is supplied into a bathtub 1. The waste hot water from bathtub is discharged through a heat exchanger 4 from a pipeline 7. The heat medium heated by the heat exchanger 4 is circulated in such a way as to perform heat exchange with water in the chamber 25 through pipelines 28 and 29. Thus, the recovery of heat from the waste hot water can be performed.
