Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to keep the constant apparent brightness of the waveform on the screen of a CRT by linking a sweep speed changing device and a brightness adjusting device in the oscilloscope. CONSTITUTION:After the observed waveform has been displayed on a flurescent screen 11 of the CRT10, the desired size of the waveform is obtained by the sweep speed changing device 2 of a sweep circuit 4. The speed changing device 2 and the brightness adjusting device 3 are linked by a linking rod. Therefore, the brightness adjusting device 3 is switched to a resistor corresponding to the sweep speed in response to the switching of the sweep speed changing device 2. Each resistor 5 controls the negative voltage of a control grid 9 in response to the sweep time, keeping the apparent brightness of the flurescent screen 11 constant all the time. In this constitution, is eliminated the readjustment of the brightness which is performed by the brightness adjusting device whenever the sweep speed has been switched. Thus, the measuring time can be shortened.
