Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an X-ray tube voltage having no overshoot by giving a lower bias than a steady-state value to a screen grid in off state of a tetrode tube, and switching to the steady-state value when a switch is turned on. CONSTITUTION:Since an output voltage of a high voltage generator 41 is higher than the steady-state voltage immediately after a tetrode tube 103 is switched on, it operates to lower the bias of a screen grid G2 of the tetrode 103. When the switch of the tetrode 103 is off, swtiching elements B of analog switches 21, 22 are closed and the bias of an adequate low voltage V is applied to the screen grid G2 by setting devices 23, 24. Therefore, X-ray tube voltage which can be started in the state sufficiently suppressing the overshoot of the X-ray tube voltage which takes place when the switch is on, can be obtained.
