PURPOSE:To recognize clearly a measurement-objective part in an object field and to discriminate an in-focus state visually because of manual focus adjustment, by making it possible to see clearly part of an object via the unfrosted part of a focal plate in an out-of-focus state. CONSTITUTION:A focal plate 6 has a Fresnel lens surface as its reverse surface 6a and an unfrosted oval part 6b which corresponds to a measurement area on its top surface and a mat surface at its circumference 6c. In the visual field of a finder, the measurement area 24 is viewed through and an object is seen clearly. Through a part 26 equivalent to the mat surface, an in-focus part is seen clearly, and an out-of- focus part is not; when the object part which corresponds to a part near the measurement area is not in focus, the measurement area is recognized visually as a clear image part in an out-of-phase image and when the object part is in focus, the boundary between the both disappears to know that the desired object is in focus.
