Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a mixture from becoming too rich after the combustion of the engine is finished by a method wherein an impressing voltage to a drive pulse generator for a solenoid control valve provided on an air bleed conduit is switched in accordance with the self-supported operation of the engine and the output of a temperature switch.
CONSTITUTION: The solenoid control valve is provided in an air bleed passage 23 opening at the metering nozzle of a carburettor 3 and the air to fuel ratio is controlled by controlling the solenoid control valve with an electronic control circuit 60 in accordance with the output of an exhaust sensor 8. Here, the electronic control circuit 60 is constituted with equipments such as an integral circuit 64 integrating a deviation between the output of the exhaust sensor 8 and the preset value therefor, a proportion circuit 65, an adding circuit 66, a function generating circuit 81 and the like. The output voltage of the integral circuit 64 or the function generating circuit 81 is selected to drive the control the coil 44 of the solenoid control valve by controlling analog switches 67, 82 properly under opening or closing them in accordance with the outputs of an alternator 9 as the self-supported operation detecting means and the tempeature switch 85.
