Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a mixture from becoming too rich after the combustion of the engine is finished by a method wherein a necessary impressing voltage to a drive pulse generator for a solenoid control valve provided on an air bleed conduit is switched in accordance with the self-supported operation of the engine and the output of a temperature switch.
CONSTITUTION: The solenoid control valve 26 is provided in an air bleed passage 23 opening at the metering nozzle 22 of a carburettor 3 and the air to fuel ratio is controlled by controlling the valve 26 with an electronic control circuit 60 in accordance with the output of an exhaust sensor 8. Here, the electronic control circuit 60 is constituted with equipments such as an integral circuit integrating a deviation between the output of the exhaust sensor and the preset value therefor, a proportion circuit, an adding circuit, a function generating circuit 81 having a temperature sensitive element responding to an engine temperature and the like. The coil of the solenoid control valve 26 is driven and controlled by a method wherein the output voltage of the integral circuit or the function generating circuit is selected by controlling an analog switch properly unde opening or closing it with the outputs of an alternator as a detecting means of the self-supported operation and the temperature switch.
