CONSTITUTION: Zinc is recovered from a dil. aqueous zinc soln. by combining a process of extracting zinc in the soln. with an extracting soln. consisting of a solvent extracting reagent and a solvent in 100W200vol% of the amount of the zinc soln. in the presence of sodium chloride, a process of back-extracting and concentrating the extracted zinc by adding a strongly acidic soln. to the zinc-contg. extracting soln. by an amount 1/40W1/10 time as much as the extracting soln. by vol., and a process of dechlorinating the soln. contg. the back-extracted concd. zinc to prepare an aqueous soln. having the high zinc and low chlorine contents.
