KP drain formed in a kraft pulp plant, the drain is treated by a pure oxygen activated sludge method. Thereby, the activity blocking of microbes is prevented, and hydrogen sulfide is kept at ≤50ppm (value in terms of S) and methyl mercaptan at ≤25ppm (value in terms of S).
