Abstract
In a method of treating waste water discharged from palm oil factories, a mixture of at least one yeast of the genus Trichosporon and at least one yeast of the genus Candida, Hansenula, Pichia or Rhodotorula is cultured in the waste water under aerobic conditions. The biological oxygen demand is thereby reduced.
