Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of tracking a material by a methed wherein pinch rollers are provided near a reference point of a material flowing continuously and an objective point provided properly away therefrom respectively, and the expansion and contracting of the mateial is detected from the difference between the numbers of revolutions of said pinch rollers.
CONSTITUTION: A material 1 is marked with a mark point E, passed through a sensor 2 located at a reference point and delivered through an objective point B properly away therefrom. Pinch rollers 11 and 12 are provided near the sensor 2 and the objective point B, and the difference between the numbers of revolutions thereof is placed in an expansion counter 15. When said value is (m), expansion is Δl= 2πrm, where (r) is the radius of the pinch rollers, and an average expansion is Δl/ l. This means that the distance L between the sensor 2 and the objective point B has reduced to L'=L/(1+Δl/l). A preset value (L'/pulse generating rate) is set to a counter 4, and the number of the pulses generated according to the movement of the material 1 is subtracted therefrom. When the result becomes 0, the mark point E should have reached the objective point B. Thereby, the delivery of the material can be highly accurately controlled.
