Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable constant maintaining of a fuel-air ratio in a proportional combustion, by a method wherein the amount of combustion heat is caused to vary in accordance with a load. CONSTITUTION:A combustor, which can perform a proportional combustion and performs a most suitable combustion at a region where a frame current is a maximum, is mounted. In a combustion heat value indicator 20, a given air is fed from an air amount controller 22 according to a signal from a temperature sensor 21, and a proportional electromagnetic valve 27 is controlled so that a necessary amount of fuel is discharged from a fuel amount controller 25. Meanwhile, an air amount or a fuel amount to the combustion heat value indicator 20 from an modulation circuit 17 is controlled so that it changes at a given period independently of a load. A detecting means 11 detects the tendency of the change in the frame current of a combustion flame which is obtained resulting from the changes in a fuel-air ratio, and a correction signal is outputted from a fuel amount correcting device 27 to the combustion heat value indicator 20 so that the fuel amount or the air amount is corrected according to the detecting signal from the device 27. Thus, a simple constitution permits maintaining of a constant fuel-air ratio in the proportional combustion.
