Abstract

PURPOSE:To limit the harmonic overcurrent generated at the time of charging rise in a power source by connecting a parallel resonance circuit of a capacitor and an inductance in series with the capacitive reactance for limiting an overcurrent. CONSTITUTION:Parallel resonance circuits 16-20 of capacitors 14 and inductors 15 are connected to an overcurrent limiting capacitor 10. The circuits 16-20 have resonance frequency higher than the frequency of an AC power source 9 and different from each other, exhibits high impedance against the resonance frequency and also exhibits low impedance against the other frequencies. Accordingly, harmonic components generated due to the distortion of the waveform at the time of charging voltage rise are suppressed by the circuits 16-20 set to have high impedance against the high frequency. When the interval of the resonance frequency of the resonance circuit is set as narrow as possible to increase the frequency, its effect can be further increased.
