When the (x) address of the fixed disc pack and the (y) address of the interchanging type disc pack are selected during operation by track retrieval instructions, the initial moving track number and direction at which a servo head is ought to move are calculated by an arithmetic circuit 33 and the result of the calculation is sent to an arithmetic circuit 34. The circuit 34 determines the moving track number and moving direction on the basis of the information on the track number and direction requiring correction from the circuit 32 and applies said information to a head moving mechanism 35.
