Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled paint which has excellent adhesion between a silver powder and a copper powder, exhibits nearly the same electrical conductivity as that of conventional silver powder and can be produced at low cost, by a method wherein a silver powder is forcibly bonded to a copper powder by a mechanical means to produce a silver-copper composite powder which is then dispersed in a synthetic resin-solvent system.
CONSTITUTION: A silver powder having an average particle diameter of 10μ or smaller and a copper powder having an average particle diameter of 10μ or smaller in a weight ratio of 30:70W80:20, are subjected to a mechanical treatment by using an oscillating mill, etc. to produce a flaky silver-copper composite powder having an average particle diameter of 10μ or smaller, which is then dispersed in a synthetic resin-solvent system to obtain an electrically conductive paint. The preferred ratio of the silver-copper composite powder to the synthetic resin-solvent system is 60:40W80:20. When 0.1W3wt% fatty acid such as stearic acid is added in the above preparation, the wetting of the powder with the synthetic resin-solvent system becomes better, and thus, electrical conductivity is improved.
