Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance moisture resistance and to reduce production cost, by using a metal powder consisting of nickel or its alloy and incorporating coarse carbon black, in the preparation of an electrically conductive material composed of a metal powder and an org. binder.
CONSTITUTION: A main electrically conductive material consisting of a nickel powder, an alloy powder composed of nickel, silver, etc., a nickel powder chemically plated with silver or a powder mixt. of nickel and silver is compounded with carbon black of particle size ≥80μ and then mixed with an org. binder such as a phenol resin, a solvent such as butyl carbitol as a vehicle to prepare the purpose electrically conductive paint. Thus the production cost is reduced because of use of the nickel powder as the main electrically conductive material, and the carbon black of coarse particle size is intimately mixed with the metal powder, which prevents oxidation of the metal powder and enhances moisture resistance, etc.
