Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce load and enable a driven side to be rotated in the reverse direction by a method wherein the rotation of a driving body is selectively transmitted to the first intermediate body, and the second intermediate body is coupled to the first intermediate body in such a manner that they can be rotated by a predetermined angle relative to each other.
CONSTITUTION: When a sprocket 25 rotates clockwise with a solenoid 44 being in the excited condition, the first sleeve 24 is rotated in the same direction and the second rotating body 27 is rotated clockwise through the first rotating body 26, the first intermediate body 30 and the second intermediate body 31. As a result, a sleeve 29 is rotated and a driven shaft 20 integral therewith is rotated clockwise. When the excitation of the solenoid 44 is released, the driven shaft 20 is stopped. When the driven shaft 20 is rotated counterclockwise in the condition where the transmission of the driving force is interrupted, the second rotating body 27 is rotated counterclockwise. However, the rotation of the body 27 is limited within the range corresponding to the length of slots 30b, 31b, 30c, 31c of the intermediate bodies 30, 31.
