Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the slip between the contact portions of a driven shift roller and a disc as the roller approaches the center of gyration of the disc, stabilize the output rotation of a planetary reduction mechanism and efficiently transmit power without slip.
CONSTITUTION: The stepless transmission for a tractor cpmprises a main transmission mechanism 3 including the disc 13 which is rapidly rotated by a main shaft 2 and thrusted by a flat spring 12, the driven shift roller 14 which is in contact with the disc and a bevel pinion shaft 15 fitted with the roller, and the planetary reduction mechanism 4 including an internal gear 17 having a bevel gear 16 engaged with said bevel pinion shaft 15, a sun gear 18 which is rotated by the main shaft 2 and a planet gear 19 engaged with the gears 17, 18. A recess 21 is provided on the central portion of the disc 13 to prevent the contact between the driven shift roller 14 and the disc when the roller is near the center of gyration of the disc. A lock-up mechanism 24 is provided to stop the rotation of the roller 14.
