Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance resolution in the best matching state, by performing the wavelength matching of a plurality of mechanically independent dispersing elements under the control of a microprocessor wherein the rotating angles of the elements are stored. CONSTITUTION:Drive pulse motors for the dispersing elements are automatically controlled by the microprocessor wherein the rotating angle of each element is stored so that the detected signal of the output signal of each dispersing signal becomes the maximum. For example, the light from a light source 1 is led to a specimen via a prism 5 and diffracting grating 7. The rotating angles of the prism 5 and the diffracting grating 7 are varied by the motors 11' and 11. Said rotating angles are displayed on displays 14' and 14, and stored in a memory 27 by a CPU26 via an interface circuit 23. The feedback control is performed by a control circuit 28 so that the monochrome energy which is a part of the output from a half mirror 19 becomes the maximum. Thus, the best wavelength matching is obtained and the resolution can be enhanced.
