Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress heat cracking and improve abrasion resistance by allowing an inorg. fibrous compound or a mixture of this and an abrasion-resistant material and Ni or Ni alloy to codeposit on the inside wall of a mold applied with surface plating of Ni type. CONSTITUTION:A thin film of Ni or Ni alloy is applied on the surface of the inside wall of a mold body made of copper or copper alloy. Next, an inorg. fibrous compound or this and an abrasion-resistant material are allowed to codeposit together with Ni or Ni alloy (Fe-Ni, Ni-Co, Ni-P) thereon. Particles of WC, TiC, Si, etc. are used for said abrasion-resistant material and short fibers of Al2O3, SiC, BN, etc. are used for the inorg. fibrous compound.
