Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the massproductivity and life of a battery by bonding a negative electrode which is formed by covering a metal core with a metal lithium sheet with larger diameter than the metal core the periphery of which negative electrode comprising only lithium on a negative container. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode 4 is attached on a negative container 5, and a positive electrode 7 the active material of which is formed by sintering manganese dioxide is touched to the negative electrode 4 spaced with a separator 6 impregnated with an electrolyte. A positive container 9 is put on it spaced with a separator 8, and the opening 10 is folded inwardly to seal and to form an organic solvent battery. When the negative electrode 4 is attached on the negative container 5, a metal lithium sheet with, diameter larger than that of the metal core is used so that the periphery 2 of the metal core 1 is not exposed and attached covering the metal core 1 to form a negative electrode 1, and it is attached on the negative container 5 by spot welding or pressing.
