Abstract

PURPOSE:To replace a faulty power source in on-line mode by opening an opening- closing switch between an input terminal and the power source when the power source is at fault by providing a detecting circuit, which detects the fault of the individual power source, to each power source having an input terminal and then by connecting said circuit to the switch. CONSTITUTION:Power sources B1-Bn having input terminals A1-An are provided with detecting circuits F1-Fn which detect faults of individuals. Those detecting circuits F1-Fn are packaged on one printed substrate G; opening-closing switches SW1-SWn are connected between input terminals A1-An, and power sources B1-Bn, and detecting circuits F1-Fn are connected to power sources B1-Bn which correspond to switches SW1-SWn. When one of detecting circuits F1-Fn detects a fault, one of switches SW1-SWn which corresponds to the power source among B1-Bn is opened automatically and in this closure, the power source in failure is replaced with a stand-by power source.
