Abstract

PURPOSE:To evaluate the soundness of the majority deciding circuit by applying a test signal of an opening/closing circuit which constitute the majority deciding circuit and detecting a current for every element constituting OR. CONSTITUTION:Signal processors 1 and 2 input and process signals outputted by redundant sensors A1-N1 and A2-N2 and output trip signals when the signals exceed a prescribed value. The trip signals of the processors 1 and 2 are supplied as signals (a) and (b) to opening/closing means 12 and 13 which constitute the majority deciding circuit through changeover switches 3 and 4. A test signal is supplied to the contact of one of the switches 3 and 4 from the diagnosing device 11 and the signals (a) and (b) are switched to the test signal with switching commands 7 and 8. Then the outputs of current detecting means 14 and 15 in response to the test signal are inputted as signals 9 and 10 to the circuit 11 to diagnose its abnormality. Consequently, a fault of each opening/closing means is decided to evaluate the soundness of the majority deciding circuit.
