Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the handling operation of an ignitor and to prevent the deterioration of the air in a room by providing a heat insulating layer and a heating element in a fuel supplying tube, igniting a solid fuel, and supplying the fuel to a burner.
CONSTITUTION: A solid fuel case 7 and a burner 9 are provided in a casing body 1 and the case 7 is connected to the burner 9 through an oblique fuel supplying tube 13. The length of the tube 13 is so determined that one or more solid fuels 8 remain in the tube 13 via a template 17, and a heating element 14 such as a coiled sheathed heater, a ceramic heater, a band heater or the like is arranged in the tube 13. A wire mesh is arranged (or may not be arranged) on the outside of the heating element 14, and a heat insulating layer 15 made of heat insulating material such as an asbestos or the like is arranged on the mesh. In this construction, the fuel 8 is fed from the case 7 to the tube 13, the heating element 14 is energized to ignite the fuel, and the fuel is then introduced into the burner 9. Accordingly, the fuel 8 is ignited in the tube 13, and since the leakage of smoke or the like can be prevented, the prescribed purposes can be performed.
