Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the leakage of unburned gas, a short-circuit accident, etc., by placing the packing part and lead wire part of an ignition heater in a convection air passage.
CONSTITUTION: The lead wire 26 of the ignition heater 20 and a packing 18, through which the ignition heater 20 extends, are placed in a convected air passage between the body 1 of a burner and a combustion unit 4. A burning member 6 in the combustion unit 4 is ignited by the ignition heater 20. The packing 18 and the lead wire 26 are always cooled by air convected by a convection fan 16 so that the packing and the lead wire 26 do not deteriorate due to heat even if the temperature of the burning member 6 becomes high because of abnormal combustion. This results in preventing the leakage of unburned gas from the burning member 6 and a short-circuit accident.
