Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the disposal of an organic sewage with high efficiency without resort to a solid-liquid separation or the like, by biologically treating the organic sewage, thickening a part of a liquid flowing out of an aeration vessel in a thickener, returning the thickened sludge into the aeration vessel, and introducing the separated water together with the remaining part of the out- flowing liquid into a dehydrator.
CONSTITUTION: Stock water 1 such as urine, without being diluted, is fed into an aeration vessel 2 into which air 6 is blown. The stock water in the aeration vessel 2 is biologically treated within a certain period in an embodiment such as the removal of BOD and COD components, nitrification denitrification, biological dephosphorization, etc. A part of a liquid 3 flowing out of the vessel 2 is introduced into a mechanical dehydrator 4. The remainder of the liquid 3 is introduced into a forcibly thickening device 5, where the liquid 3 is separated into thickened sludge 7 and separated water 8. The separated water 8 is then mixed with the out-flowing liquid 3, and separated into dehydrated cake 9 and separated water 10 by the dehydrator 4. The separated water 10 is drained as purified water as such, or further purified by the addition of inorganic and/or high- molecular flocculants 11. The thus purified water is then treated in the final coagulating sedimentation pool 12, to give clarified water 13. On the other hand, the said sludge 7 is cycled to the vessel 2 and biologically treated there.
