Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a resonant measuring device substantially free from drift error, by forming an oscillatory circuit with a piezoelectric element and an amplifier, and subject the variation in oscillation frequency due to a pressure applied to the piezoelectric element to arithmetic operation to obtain a pressure variation value.
CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric material 1, such as a ceramic material is sandwiched between upper and lower electrodes 2, 3 to form a piezoelectric element 4, which is combined with a feedback circuit for an amplifier 8 to form an oscillating circuit. When a pressure applied to the piezoelectric element 4 is varied, an oscillation frequency fO in the oscillating circuit is also varied. A variation Δf in the oscillation frequency is converted into a pressure variation in an arithmetic circuit 9 to display the value on an indicator 10. The oscillation frequency fO in the oscillating circuit is determined in accordance with the physical dimensions of the piezoelectric element. Accordingly, a pressure measuring device substantially free from drift error can be obtained.
