Abstract
PURPOSE: To convert a progressive wave energy into another energy at high efficiency by a method wherein oscillating movement period of a pressure receiving lever is turned with wave period, and a wave energy is seized through reciprocation of a pressure receiving unit.
CONSTITUTION: When a crest 10 passes, a pressure receiving unit 3 receives a pressure caused by a drop foward movement "b" of water particles mainly at the top 7a of a front projection 7. Then, the pressure receiving unit 3 forms an intensive angle C with projections 7, 8 and wall surfaces 4, 5 of a headrace 6 and accelerates a speed of the water particles to pass a clearance "d" between the pressure receiving unit 3 and the wall surfaces 4, 5 of the headrace 6. Then, a retreat movement is accelerated furthermore by an increase in buoyancy due to a level rise of the headrace 6. After the crest 10 passes, the pressure receiving unit 3 makes headway by a counter action. Thus the major part of an energy of the wave can be converted to another energy efficiently by reciprocating of the pressure receiving unit 3.
