Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled foam having the low-smoking property and improved physical properties and adhesive property without causing shrinkage and cracking at a high temperature, by reacting a dibasic acid with a specific polyol during mixing thereof and an organic polyisocyanate, etc.
CONSTITUTION: In mixing an organic polyisocyanate with a polyol expressed by the formula (a, b, c, d and e are integers, and the ratio thereof can be changed optionally; R is H or methyl; R1 and R2 are alkyl), a blowing agent, a trimerization catalyst, and if necessary an additive, e.g. a surfactant or stabilizer, a dibasic acid, e.g. fumaric acid or maleic acid, capable of acting as a smoking inhibitor, etc. is added and reacted therewith to give the aimed foam. The amount of the dibasic acid is 5W70pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. raw materials for the foam.
