Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the defect thus to improve the yield while to shorten the manufacturing time, by forming the first layer of such as ZnSe on a transparent substrate while forming the second layer mainly composed of Zn, Cd, Te on said first layer thereafter performing the thermal procession. CONSTITUTION:A film 3 composed at least one kind of ZnS, ZnSe, CdS, CdSe is formed as the first layer on a glass substrate 1 having a transparent conductive film 2 through the vacuum deposition. Then CdTe film 4 mainly composed of Zn, Cd, Te is formed on said first layer. Thereafter it is thermally processed. Since the process where the atmosphere is changed from the air to the vacuum or from the vacuum to the air is eliminated, the defect will not occur to improve the yield while the manufacturing time is shortened because the process is facilitated.
