Abstract
PURPOSE:To equalize the curvature of the surface of a light permeating thin film layer and that of a light permeating substrate to each other to prevent generation of interference colors, by providing double light permeating thin film layers different in grinding speed on a stripe filter part of the light permeating substrate and by forming the outside layer with a high-grinding speed material and by grinding it. CONSTITUTION:In respect to a color separating stripe filter of a color image pickup device or the like, an inside light-permeating thin film layer 14 of a low grinding speed is vapor-deposited with Al2O3, etc. by the electron beam method or the like after cyanine permeating stripe filters 12 and yellow permeating stripe filters 13 are formed on a surface 11a of a glass substrate 11. Next, a barium crown- system optical glass of a high grinding speed is vapor-deposited more thickly than a projecting surface 34a of the layer 14 to form an outside light permeating thin film layer 15. Next, CeO2 fine powder is used to buff the layer 15 till the projecting surface 14a of the layer 14 is exposed through all regions of the filter, thus obtaining a surface 15a where the projecting surface 14a and the substrate surface 11a have the same curvature. Thus, the filter where interference colors are not generated is obtained with a good yield.
