Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically and continuously discriminate and display the contigent occurrence of unbalance phenomena by setting plural amplitude change rates with respect to unbalance vibration components in a revolving machine such as atomic power generating plants. CONSTITUTION:The vibrations detected by a detector 5 with multi-bearing rotor systems 1-3 are A/D converted 8 via a vibrometer 7 and are applied to a processing unit 9. The unbalance vibration data obtained in the unit 9 are sent to a change rate operator 12 via an amplitude comparator 11. The calculated change rates are sent successively to comparators 13-16. In the respective comparators, the magnitudes and differences of the amplitude change rates at the two points of times before and after are compared with prescribed values, and such comparing process is accomplished with different set values. As a result, the contingent occurrence of unbalance vibrations is discriminated and displayed 18.
