Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the mixing of coal ash for a final product by a method wherein the shape of an air heating furnace is made to be a cyclone form and at the same time both a third air outlet and a burner are arranged in a tangential direction with respect to the furnace.
CONSTITUTION: The air heating furnace 1 is made to be a cyclone form, its barrel part 2 is formed as a funnel type having such a shape as its lower end is being approached, the lower end is made as a dust outlet port 3. Upper end of the barrel part 2 is integrally arranged a hot air outlet 8 having a double hollow tube structure, and an intermediate cylinder 9 is fitted in the hollow part of the hot air outlet 8. Around the barrel 2 is arranged both the third air inlet 5 and a burner 11 for combusting some fine coals in such a manner as they are oriented in a tangential direction with respect to the barrel 2. As a result, the ash of the combustioned fine coals is splashed toward the inner circumference of the barrel 2 under a circulating air flow, flowed down along the wall surface and finally collected at the dust discharge outlet 3.
