Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent blocking of the nozzle due to drying of ink while regulating the size of the ink particle easily by controlling the pressure thereof by a method wherein a flexible material is utilized as the material of an orifice in the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:An orifice plate 2 made of the flexible material such as rubber or the like is provided in an opening at the tip end of a nozzle cylinder 1 made of a metal such as stainless steel or the like. The pressurized ink filled in the cylinder 1 is excited by an oscillator 4 to produce the ink particle forcibly from the orifice hole 3 of the orifice plate 2. Then, the orifice hole 3 of the orifice plate 2 is opened by the pressurized ink and a solid material separated out at the hole 3 while the recording is not being carried on is removed easily by the expansion of the opening of the hole. The opening degree of the hole 3 may be varied freely by regulating also the ink pressure.
