Abstract
PURPOSE:To erase unnecessary electric charge on a photoreceptor by forming the electroluminescence having arbitrarily divided electrode patterns, providing this behind the charging part in proximity to a photoreceptor and controlling the same to flicker. CONSTITUTION:Electroluminescence A consists of arbitrary charge pattern 2 formed by etching or printing on a printed substrate 1 of glass epoxy, ''Kaptone '', etc. The pattern 2 is provided by being divided to three parts of 22 having a size A1 and 21, 23 having the same size. After a phosphor layer 4 is formed by coating fluorescent material on the patterns 2, a transparent electrode is laminated thereon. Further, electrodeds 3, 6 are provided. It is equally well to use aluminum foils etc. in place of the printed substrate 1. Voltage is applied from an AC power source 7 via switches S1 and S2.
