Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep the positional relation between an electrode and a workpiece highly accurate, by providing machining liquid passage on the bottom of a table to prevent it from being thermally curved. CONSTITUTION:A valve 16 is opened to cause machining liquid to flow also into a passage 5a extending on the bottom of a table 5. The machining liquid is caused to make confluence in a pipe 20 through a pipe 21. As a result, the top and bottom of the table 5 are equally heated by the machining liquid to nearly the same temperature as the machining liquid 6 in a machining vessel 7. The machining liquid is forcedly removed of heat when it flows through a fan cooler 13 so that the liquid 6 is controlled to the constant temperature. Since the top and bottom of the table 5 are equally heated, it is kept from being curved because of temperature difference. This results in keeping the positional relation between an electrode 3 and a workpiece 4 highly accurate.
