Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible manufacture to a shape having no strains and deformations in joined part by making blank layout and welding for flanged pipe parts and connected pipe parts separately to form flanging parts then butt welding these at the production of an oval duct pipe.
CONSTITUTION: The flat section bend of an oval duct pipe is constituted of two flanged pipe parts 1, and three connected pipe parts 2, and blank layout is made in the developed shape of the respective flanged pipe parts 1 and the connected pipe parts 2. At this time, butt end parts 9, 10 and 9', 10' are provided and flanging parts 5', 6' and 12', 13' are beforehand provided to straight parts 5, 6, 12, 13, thence the respective edge parts 9, 10 and 9', 10' are butted and welded. The respective flanging parts of the formed flanged pipe parts 1 and the connected pipe parts 2 are bent outward and the butt edge parts are butt-welded, whereby the oval duct pipe of a correct shape having no strains and deformations in the joined part is easily manufactured.
