Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure a jitter component included in a video signal easily, by a reference signal displaying the specified jitter standards and a display signal enlarging and displaying the jitter component included in the video signal. CONSTITUTION:The video signal including the jitter components from the terminal 9 is the horizontal synchronizing signal and fed to the monostable multivibrator 13. The phase comparator 14 constitutes the voltage controlled oscillator 15 and PLL, and the jitter components are detected by comparing output of the oscillator 15 and the monostable multivibrator 13 in phase. Then, output is corrected at the frequency correction circuit 16, it is fed to the amplifier 17 and the jitter amount is enlarged by a given amount. The monostable multivibrators 19, 23 decide the location of the reference white lines A, B and the position on the playback picture can arbitrarily be adjusted. The playback video signal and the jitter display signal (being J line) from the differentiation circuit 21, and the reference signal from the mixer 26 are mixed at the mixer 10 and the resultant is output on the television receiver 7.
