Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure a jitter component included in a video signal easily, by using a reference signal displaying the specified jitter standard value and the display signal enlarging and displaying the jitter component included in a video signal.
CONSTITUTION: The video signal from the terminal 9 is only a horizontal synchronizing signal and fed to the monostable multivibrator B after signal. The phase comparator 14 constitutes PLL together with the voltage controlled oscillator 15 to detect the jitter components. In the frequency correction circuit 16, the weighting amount is reduced for the low frequency region hardly sensible of visual, and frequency correction is made with the weighting curve characteristics almost in agreement with the AFC characteristics of the receiver at higher frequency region. This output is amplified at the amplifier 17 to be a jitter display signal. The monostable multivibrators 19, 23 decide the position of the reference white lines A, B, and the position on the playback picture can arbitrarily be adjusted with a volume control. The jitter display signal from the differentiation circuit 21 (being J line) and the reference signal from the mixer 26 are output on the image receiver 7 via the mixer 10.
