PURPOSE:To eliminate a resin-rich part generated between mold resin layers and form a satisfactory coil cooling air duct by providing a tube of resin and nonviscous elastomer on the surface of a duct spacer member which forms a cooling duct of a resin-impregnated mold coil. CONSTITUTION:A coil conductor 2 is wound around an insulation cylinder 1 to form the first layer coil and a coil end part insulator 3 is arranged on the external periphery of a coil A. In addition, a porous insulation material is wound around to form an insulation layer 4. Next, in order to improve the cooling performance of the coil interior, a duct spacer 9 of drawn bar made of phenol glass or polyester glass or compound material, is arranged. On the said spacer 9, the second and third layer coils B, C are wound around through the insulation layer 4 in the same fashion. The surface of this spacer 9 is covered by a tube 8 of elastomer such as silicon rubber, fluoro rubber, etc. so that a resin-rich part generated between mold layers is eliminated to assure an improved cooling of the coil.
